Empty Budget=Empty Pool

East Washoe Valley CAB Needs YOU!

The East Washoe Valley Citizen’s Advisory Board will be losing two members by June and need two members of the community to volunteer to one night a month. Members of the CAB meet for a couple hours in the evening to facilitate communication between citizens and Washoe County on local concerns and issues.

State Park Gets Budget Axe

Update on Gourley Dam

On February 14th we received this update from Mr. Gourley:

Unapproved Dam Now Approved

In an apparent lesson on how to get things done in Washoe County, the dam allegedly built without permits above Washoe Valley on Joy Lake has be subsequently approved by the state, after the fact. Ted Gourley, property owner of the dam sent us this note on January 31st:
