East WV CAB Notes

Oct. 21 EWV CAB meeting at NDF
Commissioner Humke was present at the meeting.  Usually he attends the Washoe
County Planning Commission on Tues. nights, but tonight’s meeting was quite short so he had time to come to ours.  He basically told us what went on at that meeting.

West Washoe CAB Meets on Monday the 3rd

The West WVCAB will meet on Monday, November third at the Bowers VFD at 7pm to discuss fire safety, NDOT, the possible diversion of Brown’s Creek and the construction of a 9600 square foot horse arena near William Brent Drive and Old Highway 395 among other items according to the agenda.

West WVCAB Highlights

The West Washoe Valley Citizens Advisory Board met on October 6th and discussed the following items as gleaned from the minutes:

The sheriff’s representative reported the area was quiet but that drivers should not leave their running cars unattended.
He was advised that motorcyclists speed on old 395 and hunters scope out game on Franktown Rd.

Washoe County Parks and Rec announced $175,000 is available for trails in Washoe Valley.
Designating Washoe Valley as a Scenic Byway is moving ahead.
