New Washoe City celebrates it’s 50th anniversary after lots went on sale in 1961 in the “planned community”. Lots went for $1500 and East Lake Blvd was the only (newly) paved road at the time.

Yeah, I bet the shopping areas were going to be more expansive too! I like the part about the reasonable restrictions!
