We went down the street the other day to help a neighbor pick apples from his giant apple trees and had a great time. With the help of the “X15 High Altitude Apple Snatcher” pictured we made quick work of it. It kinda reminded me of a classic “harvest” where we worked and then celebrated over cheese, wine, salami and… apple slices. We took a bunch home and after cutting out the “bird bites” and worms, made apple cake and apple juice.
The X15 is a garden “claw” cultivator sanded down to fit into a 10′ section of plastic conduit with a bucket wired on that you can make yourself. Worked great.
